Secession Hill Clean-up Day
From: James Layden, Chairman, SCLoS Place: Secession Hill Time: Saturday 29 April 2006
Almost all of the unwanted trees and underbrush has been removed from Secession Hill and most of the old house is gone, but Robert Hayes needs a crew to help him pick up the several thousand bottles still on the Hill as well as broken concrete blocks, bricks and other unwanted debris. Please come and give him some much needed help on Saturday 29 April. Robert will have plenty of plastic bags, but if you have a wheel-barrel and can bring it, please do. Robert said to come whenever you can, but there should be some on the Hill by 9:00 AM. You will probably want to bring a cooler with some soft drinks or water, for it could be warm.
Please bring the whole family and give Robert a hand in the clean-up.
The Original Confederate Monument in Abbeville South Carolina I am pleased to announce that it is coming back to Secession Hill in Abbeville South Carolina.
